Just go read comments on an article about either Chevy, Ram, and Ford trucks, or their respective Pony cars on Motor Trend. The amount extremist fanboys borders on YouTube comment section bad.
!!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! article might be the worst of them all. So many illogical arguments on all sides.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
I will say this though, holy shit 325 horsepower and 375 lb-ft of torque from a 2.7L V6? How much strain is that engine under!?

all the strain lol

I'm fairly sure when Ford showed cut-outs and models of the engine, the masses were collectively surprised at how sturdy all of the internals were. The thing is running a very high compression ratio IMO but I'm sure Ford has done their homework.

At first I was angry, then it got to the point where I just started laughing. How can these people be productive members of society? Oh wait..

har har har, if you don't have the same brand of truckmobile I do, you must be one of those homosexuals. Your truck brand is made of poop and lady hygene products. My truck is king of all truckdom and heir to the title of truckasaurus rex.
I think that about sums it up.

I'd personally wait a few year to see how reliability plays out, but I'd do that with any engine.

Basically. Except for maybe a few people who are totally indifferent to which brand they buy saying "Good job Ford!"

But this is an actually reasonable comment in my opinion:
Soon as the used price gets under $20,000, I'll be first in line to buy one of these. No way in hell I'm paying $50,000 for ANY truck. Period. Automakers have lost their damn mind with the MSRPs.
$50,000 for a truck, I wouldn't even pay $30-40k when there's so many good CARS for that money.

My favorite is when someone will ask in a ford, chevy dodge forum what is the best truck to buy. As if the forum would give you an unbiased opinion of the best truck.

NEVER read the youtube comments.

Doubtful it's really that much strain. With DI they can turn up the compression ratio without needing to build tons of boost pressure to get that kind of power.
I bet it's only like 6-8 psi of boost, which if the engine is designed to have boost from the start, isn't all that much. Now if it was 20 pounds then I'd say longevity might be an issue.

Except for trucks being bigger and having more capability. No one ever pays close to MSRP on a truck anyway.

regardless that is a full on ugly truck.

I'm iffy on the looks. The grille it has makes or breaks it for me, since Ford has like 6 grille options.

Even so, I'd never spend more than $20-25k on a truck, if I ever wanted one.

I love arguments like "my truck can tow 32000lbs and yours only tows 30000" You will never use that much capacity.

I'm sure my dad's Silverado can tow like 15,000 lbs. The most we've ever towed with it? About 2,500lbs. Maybe.

it looks like a ripoff of the current Tundra, which is by no means a looker to begin with.

Yup. Trucks rarely get used for what theyre built for.

Especially not by their respective fanboys...

Not driving the same brand of truck as me is LITERALLY SOVIET RUSSIA.

Also, that extended cab looks great, but why did they put a console in it? That is a lot of wasted space.
